Why get Radio Frequency Treatment with Skin Studio UK?
Radiofrequency skin tightening, or RF treatment, is a non-invasive procedure that some doctors do in their office. We use a wand connected to a machine that generates radio waves to do the procedure.
We use the wand to apply radio waves to your skin as they pass it over your body.
The heat from the waves encourages your skin to manufacture more collagen and elastin. The treatment also increases cell turnover, resulting in firmer, thicker skin over time.
Depending on how much skin you want treated, the procedure might take anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes. You will experience minimal discomfort as a result of the treatment.
FAQs
When do you see results?
Most people see the results immediately after their first treatments after 24 hours.
What are the risks with this treatment?
Radiofrequency facials usually have the following two side effects:
Redness and heat. Your face and neck will become red and will feel hot for a few hours after the treatment, because the treatment involves heating the skin enough to stimulate new collagen production.
Swelling. Your face may be a little swollen after treatment, and this may take a day or two to go down. I have never found my face to be swollen after a radiofrequency facial but I know it can happen, so I’m just noting it for the record.
How long do they last?
The effects of a radiofrequency facial usually last for three or four weeks after treatment.
What does the treatment do?
A radiofrequency facial tightens your skin and refines its contours. The radiofrequency heats up the lower levels of the skin, making the collagen within them contract. This has a small but instant shrink-wrapping effect on the face and also stimulates the skin to produce more of its own collagen over the next few weeks.
Used at high intensity, radiofrequency treatments are great for serious skin tightening, but even adding a quick session of radiofrequency into a facial can give your skin a noticeable boost.
